Postive Reasons for Animal Removal
Animal removal from households has become a common occurance over the past decade. All animals kept as pets deserve the best possible life and treatment. In some circumstances, county officials are forced to enter homes and remove animals including cats, dogs, birds and other small pets.
- Animal Mistreatment- Many pets are removed from households due to mistreatment claims. If you notice animals in your neighborhood that have visible marks, missing fur, seem overly lethargic or that you have heard being beaten, report the animal abuse. They are taken out of their home to live a better, positive life and escape the constant abuse. Consider adopting an abused animal to provide the love that they deserve. Abused animals typically make the best pets because they have so much love to offer their owners. While a lot of dogs can also be aggressive from the abuse, they can be trained into loving, gentle dogs.
- Animal Hoarding- Becoming more and more common is animal hoarding. This is when a homeowner owns well above the legal limit of pets and cannot properly take care of them all. When removed from these homes, cats and dogs are usually found to be malnourished and dirty. In extreme cases, they are found covered in their own fecal matter.
- Unable- Some pet owners choose to remove their pets and provide them with a better home. Cats, dogs and others take a lot of care and need attention. After being laid off, you may not be able to afford the care your pet needs. Giving them a new home allows them to live a more positive life, where they receive love, food and shelter.
