Handprint Cards
Create a one of a kind card by using paint and little fingers. Pour a little bit of paint onto a paper plate, press hands or fingers into the paint and then press onto the card. Use fingertips to create flower petals and hands in a circle pattern to create a wreath. Write notes that express how special Mom is.
Garden Stones
This is a great way to decorate Mom’s garden, as well as expressing each child’s individual style. Collect rocks large enough to provide a sizeable canvas, yet small enough that small children can lift them. Wash the rocks and dry well, use acrylic paints to write names and decorate. Place stones around the garden.
Kid Certificates
A fun and inexpensive gift that any mom will appreciate are gift certificates, redeemable at home. Cut rectangular strips of paper, use markers and crayons to decorate the border to look like a gift certificate. Write out a value for each certificate, such as "good for one hug," "dinner cooked by dad," "movie night of your choice" or "breakfast in bed."
Breakfast in Bed
Nothing warms the heart of a mom than waking up to breakfast in bed. Pick flowers from the garden and place in a small decorated glass jar. Each child can make a card and place it on the tray. Decorate a sheet of paper as the placemat.
