Step to Install Vinyl Gates
Vinyl gates are becoming much more common in many yards today. Before beginning the steps to install one, you should check your property line and get a building permit if necessary. The installation is not hard at all. The vinyl gate can be installed in 6 steps.
Installing A Vinyl Gate
A measurement should be taken between the fence walls and mark where the posts will go.
Install the hinges.
Dig two holes that are about one foot in diameter. The gate posts can rest here so they can be at the right height.
The holes should be filled with concrete. You should use wood reinforcements to hold the posts in place.
Allow the concrete to harden for at least one week for better results.
After the concrete is hardened, you can now install your vinyl gate.
Attach the brackets and panels by sliding the panels into the brackets.
Pre-drill the holes for the hinges and latches.
Put the hinges on the gate. After the hinges are in place, put the gate on the posts that were placed earlier. Attach the latch.
Apply adhesive to the top of the posts too hold any attachments or accessories. Wipe away all extra adhesive.
