Top 10 90's Movies

What better way to spend a wet, rainy or cold winter day than watching a movie. Movies are a national pastime. They help us to remember important things in life, some good and some bad. Some movies are considered classics and can be watched multiple times. The 1990s brought us many great movies, however the top ten 90s movies will keep you entertained for hours.


  1. Titanic with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet was released in 1997. This is the romantic story of two people from different social classes, who meet on the ship and fall in love. The story revolves around their love and the sinking of the historic ship back in 1912.  

  2. Pulp Fiction with John Travolta and Uma Thurman was released in 1994. The movie is a collection of stories. Each about a different character somehow end up connected together by the end. The gangster's wife, the mob men, the diner bandits all end up fitting together in a strange yet remarkable way.

  3. Scream with Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette was released in 1996. One of the best horror classics of the 90s, it combines horror with a little comedy to bring out the killer in a surprising twist.

  4. Forrest Gump with Tom Hanks and Robin Wright was released in 1994. The very touching story of a man with a disability who always seems to be in the right place at the wrong time. Because of this, he seems to be there during many historical events over many years. Along the way, his true love Jenny comes in and out of his life and leaves him with the most precious of gifts. Another not to be missed classic for all ages.

  5. There's Something About Mary with Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz was released in 1998. This hilarious comedy stars Ben Stiller as the main character who was a geek back in high school. He missed his prom and his date with the most popular girl back in school. He decides to hire a private detective to find her and then he and the detective both fight for her love through one funny moment after another.

  6. American Beauty with Kevin Spacey and Annette Bening was released in 1998. Kevin Spacey does great as a man having a mid-life crisis. He befriends the shy boy next door and becomes infatuated with his daughters sexy best friend. The perfect kind of movie that shows that things are not always perfect on the inside although it might look it from the outside.

  7. Braveheart with Mel Gibson and Sophie Marceau was released in 1995. This movie was one of Mel Gibson's greatest achievements. He stars as William Wallace, a Scottish rebel who wishes to make Scotland free. He helps to lead a revolt against the evil Edward the Longshanks.

  8. Saving Private Ryan with Tom Hanks and Matt Damon was released in 1998. Tells the story of US Soldiers going on a mission behind enemy lines to find a soldiers body so they can bring him home for burial to his parents.

  9. Mrs. Doubtfire with Robin Williams and Sally Field was released in 1995. Robin Williams is hilarious as an actor who is divorced from his wife and secretly dresses up as the babysitter, Mrs. Doubtfire to be able to spend time with his children. Along the way through some funny incidents, he and his children reconnect.
