Types of Apartment Cleaning Games
Getting your family to help with housework can be a challenge, but if you make it fun, everyone wants in on it. Creating games to make work go by quicker is a great way to encourage family members to help you with daily chores. Try different games, until you find one that works for your home.
There are a variety of great ways to get your family involved in cleaning your apartment. Small children enjoy games and older children enjoy goals that earn them an allowance. There are a few games or contests that can help motivate your family to get in on cleaning the apartment.
Weekly races
Keep a chart and allow family members to choose from available chores. Assign each chore a point value, but do not tell the family what the value is. Each day, they should log what they did on the chart. At the end of each week, tally it up and whoever earned the most points can choose the movie or dinner or you could offer some other prize that works for your family.
Race the timer
Small children love to race. Set a timer and pick a chore that they can easily achieve in that timeframe. Tell them you want to see if you can do your chore faster than they can do theirs; odds are they will finish long before you. This gives you a chance to get much needed housework done.
Games are a great way to encourage your family to learn to be clean and organized, without having to preach and make it feel as if you are always nagging them.
