Types of Casual Shoes

Casual shoes are a trend today for men and women. The shoes provide extra comfort and keep a trendy look in just about any color. Formal dress shoes and pumps are not the only acceptable shoe-wear in the workplace; casual shoes provide the support you need and are still fashionable.

Sandals

Sandals are light, woven and strappy footwear that are worn in warm weather. Sport sandals are also popular; they provide comfort and support like a sneaker would, but also allows space for your feet to feel the air. Men sandals are bulkier than female sandals, but provide the same comfort. Sandals, even upscale ones, are mostly sold under $100.

Slip-ons or Slides

Slides are shoes that slip-on and do not need to be fastened or tied; these shoes do not have a back support. Loafers are a form of slip-ons made of leather. Today’s slip-ons are more stylish; they may resemble a sneaker from the front view, with no support in the back or be made of recycled materials.

Tennis shoes/Sneaker

Tennis shoes come in a wide selection of brands, colors, and support. There are sneakers that are designed to provide extra support in certain areas while you are exercising; running shoes may differ in support than a sneaker made for hiking. Most brands of sneakers are made in China with nylon and other fabrics. Perforated mesh is used on most sneakers to allow the feet to breathe. Popular sneakers that can be worn to a casual setting are Reebok and Nike’s.
