Types of In Fashion Wedding Tuxedo
While many weddings often put the majority of the focus on the bride’s gown, it is also important for the groom to look nice as well. However, finding the perfect look for the groom and his groomsmen may prove to be a challenge if you aren’t familiar with what types of tuxedos are “in.”
Formal Tuxedos
A groom should wear a formal tuxedo if he and his bride are having a formal wedding. If the formal wedding is held in the daytime, the tuxedo would consist of the following: a morning coat, trousers, starched white shirt, gloves, an ascot and patent leather shoes. Stick with brighter colors, such as white or a light gray, for daytime weddings also.
For a nighttime formal wedding, swap your light colors for darker alternatives, most specifically black with white accents. The typical nighttime formal wedding tux consists of a tailcoat, waistcoat, starched bosom shirt, bowtie, gloves and black leather shoes.
Semi-Formal Tuxedos
If you and your bride have decided on a less formal ceremony, you can’t go wrong with a nice business suit or dark tuxedo with a long necktie or a bowtie. As with formal weddings, if the wedding is to be held during the day it is fashionable to wear lighter colors and save the darker colors for weddings held at night.
Accessories
To help jazz up your style don’t forget to add a tuxedo vest to your choice of clothing. This is a great way for you to add a bit of personality to your tux while still appearing fashionable. Other options are printed cummerbunds or cufflinks in a design that is special to you and your betrothed.
