Vintage Style Mens Hats

Types of Men's Hats

Hats have been a staple of menswear longer than almost any other type of attire.  As a result of this affection for hats, manufacturers have come up with a wide variety of hat styles to suit every taste.  From silly to stern, men’s hats run the gamut of shapes and styles.

Balmoral
A traditional Scottish headpiece, balmorals feature a unique checkered band and a pompom adorning the top.

Baseball Cap
Possibly the world’s most widely used hat, baseball caps are a standby accessory for many males and are used to display favorite slogans, brands and sports teams.

Beanie
Beanies adorn heads during winter, providing bright colors, beautiful patterns and often sporting decorations such as pompoms and ear flaps.

Beret
Originating in France, berets are a quintessential accessory for artists, providing a touch of character in their jaunty angle and soft curves.

Boonie Hat
Boonie hats are usually found in camouflage prints and feature wide brims.  These are traditional military hats and often come complete with chin strap and screened vents.

Cowboy Hat
The Wild West just would not have been the same without the cowboy hat.  Crowned and wide-brimmed, cowboy hats provide the very best shading from the hot sun, ideal for those working outdoors all day in the heat.

Fedora
Fedora hats have a tall crown, pinched front and semi-wide brim.  Indiana Jones’ famous hat is a fedora, and they are a symbol of wealth and power in modern times.

Top Hat
A classic hat dating back centuries, top hats have adorned the heads of some famous people, including America's former president, Abraham Lincoln.
