Types of Military Training Workouts
The military requires members of the armed forces to be in top physical condition, as they are so vital to protecting our freedom and safety. The military requires that all new recruits complete specific training courses during their 10 week basic training requirement.
- Military Training requires cadets
to run long distances. Distance running is preformed almost every
day during basic training. The cadets are required to wear their
supply backpacks during running to build strength. The pack will
weigh between 25 and 50 pounds. - Cadets will march for several miles
carrying the backpack and other equipment. The equipment will
include their Kevlar vest, ammunition belt, and weapon. There are
specific time limits for the cadets must complete the march. - Military training requires several
physical exercise activities including push ups, rope climbing,
jumping jacks, sprint running, and sit ups. The cadet is expected to
complete several reps each training session of these exercises. - Weight training is required for
military personnel including squats, bench press, and lunges. These
exercises improve the overall condition of the cadet. - Flexibility is required for
military personnel. Completing several stretching exercises before
any other training activities will protect the muscles from injury. - Focus is a crucial part of
military training because the soldier may have to wait for several
hours before completing a mission. Meditation can help develop this
focus through repetition and daily practice. - Weapon training is a requirement
for all military recruits. The military uses many weapons and the
soldiers will know how to use each one correctly. This includes
weapon care to ensure the cadet can use the weapon if necessary.
