• Glider: This type of rocking chair is attached to the base with braces. The braces allow the chair to rock as if it is gliding. The chair is usually tilted backwards.




• Aesthetic: The designs for an aesthetic rocking chair vary greatly. Most of the chairs are made with steamed wood that is bent into curves. The modern chair designs have smooth lines and rustic features with unfinished wood with rough surfaces.
