How to Make a Meaningful Valentine's Day Card

Unique Ideas on Giving Your Girlfriend a Valentine's Day Present

Valentine’s Day is a holiday for couples to express their love for one another. Many men give women flowers, chocolates or jewelry to show their appreciation. However, these gifts are oftentimes over-gifted and can be a bit cliché. If you really want to impress your girlfriend for this Valentine’s Day, it is time that you think outside of the (chocolate) box to find a unique gift for her.

  • Cook your girlfriend her favorite dinner instead of taking her out to a restaurant. She will certainly appreciate a meal that she knows was made with love (even if it isn’t quite as tasty!). Conversely, surprise her with breakfast in bed on Valentine’s Day morning.

  • Create a picture collage with your favorite photographs of the two of you together. You can also get a digital picture frame and load it with images that will be displayed in a continuous loop.

  • Make a playlist of her favorite songs or movies. This shows your girlfriend that you really do listen and pay attention to what she likes.

  • Construct a book of coupons. The vouchers could be made for small things like a back massage or bigger things like a night on the town or a shopping spree.

  • Put together a box of appreciations. Write down on slips of paper things that you admire, like or treasure about your girlfriend. Each slip should have one comment. Instruct her to pull out one slip of paper each day, and your gift will keep giving for many days to come.

  • Surprise your girlfriend with a trip to someplace special. This could be a place that you have visited before or someplace completely new for the two of you to build memories together. Blindfold her and don’t divulge any details to add to the surprise.
