Wardrobe Closet Drape Ideas
You can choose to install closet drapes for a multitude of reasons. If you are redesigning your bedroom, wooden closet doors can seem harsh and out of place in the midst of soft shades and cozy colors. Or maybe you are just tired of the closet door sliding off its track and running aground? There are several options to consider for closet drapes.
You have a couple of options when you install curtain rods: you can install them at the highest possible point inside the closet. If you choose to do so, you can frame the outside of closet with stenciled designs or wallpaper border so as to create a "frame" around your closet. If you install the curtain rods outside the closet, install them well above the top of the closet so as to give the appearance of large French windows when the drapes are drawn. With either installation, you can choose from a variety of materials and ideas to accentuate your room.
1. The Good Old Curtain:
Consider curtains of heavy fabric with a medium sheen. Choose curtains that are held up by polished metal rings so that they can slide smoothly on a polished metal curtain rod.
2. Beads Galore:
If your room is decorated in a funky style, or if you are installing closet drapes in a young child's room, consider a bead curtain. You can purchase bead curtains or create them with the help of your child. String different beads lengthwise on colored or textured jute. Ensure that each length is long enough to be hung from the curtain rod to the floor. Hang several such lengths of beads in close clusters to give the closet more privacy.
3. Lightweight Blinds:
If you want to create an illusion of a patio outside your room, consider lightweight vertical blinds. Fabric blinds will serve the purpose well while faux bamboo blinds will add an exotic touch to the interiors. Whatever style blinds you choose, ensure that they are lightweight and can be easily cleaned.
