Warehouse Storage Types

Warehouses are commonly used as storage facilities. The facilities can hold large amounts of objects for a desired amount of time. The units come in different sizes and there are several different types of warehouse storage units available to rent. The type of unit rented depends on personal needs.

Pallet Units
Pallet units use pallets to create racks that are placed at different levels throughout the unit. The unit is convenient because it allows the renter to utilize all the available space throughout the unit. The storage racks typically go up to six racks high but can be found with as little as three racks available. The cost of this type of unit is middle ranged compared to other types of storage units because of the amount of available space.

Mezzanine Units
There may be many mezzanine units inside of one warehouse. The unit is constructed to sit between the other constructed units, maximizing the unit’s available space. Because so many units are present this type of unit is best when a large amount of storage is not required. They are fairly cheap in cost because of the amount of storage space available.

Automated Storage Units
Automated units are one of the most convenient units available. The units are very large and can hold a wide range of products. Computers are used to track the different items stored in the unit and make locating the items easy with the help of the computer system. These storage units are the most costly because of the storage size and the automated retrieval system.
