This means on every page of your website it needs to be simple to navigate and load quickly regardless of the user's technical background. If your website is difficult to navigate or does not make sense, you can be sure that the user will click off your site and go elsewhere.

Choose colors that are easy on the eyes. In other words, do not choose a bright yellow background with black text. This is hard on the eyes and most people will leave. Choose colors that are neutral, that way you are not showing any bias as to your color choices.

Make sure that the content on your site is valuable. If you have a page for articles, make sure they are related to the product or service you are selling. For instance, if you were selling clothing for dogs, it would not make sense to have articles that discuss how to buy motorcycles! Remember, everything needs to be smooth and make sense to the customer.

Never fill your website with tons of advertisements. While this can help you generate some residual income, it can be highly annoying to savvy web users. Don't bury your information in a sea of advertisements since this will not encourage people to come back.
