• The Garmin nuvi 260w is the new model of the older model Garmin nuvi 200. The Garmin nuvi GPS is about the size of a smart phone and has a 4.3 inch colored touch screen. It has a built-in picture viewer, a currency converter, a world clock and a unit converter. Your SD card can be inserted into the Garmin nuvi for storing or adding information. 

• This GPS system allows you to store addresses as favorites and you can find locations from your points of interest list. The point of interest lists have different catagories like banks, gas stations, hospitals and other general places.  There are restaurants, shopping malls, motels and hotels on the list as well.

• The Garmin nuvi GPS can be programmed to provide the text to speech option and to provide turn-by-turn assistance in text and voice mode. It calls out the names of streets and the exits so that you don't have to look at the screen for the next turn. It have the pedestrian mode to be used with a bicycle or on foot. • The 2D/3D map shows your positions, using different car-shaped icons that you can choose from.  You can avoid highways, construction and toll roads.  It gives you the trip distances along with the fastest or shortest routes.
