What is a Bridal Shower?

Most women who are getting married look forward to their bridal shower. This is a time when most women get together and have a really great time before the bride to be becomes a married woman. A bridal shower can be fun and exciting for a future bride, because other than her wedding this is also her special day.

A bridal shower is given by the future bride’s friends. Family members of the bride usually do not give the shower, because it is known as poor etiquette. It is said that family members should not ask for gifts for another member of their family. Most bridal showers are not a formal party, but more of a time to relax with friends and family members.

Food is usually served at the bridal shower. The occasion can be catered or family and friends can get together and provide the dishes. and presents are given to her. Many people give personal gifts that the future bride and husband will enjoy together. This is a time when the bride to be may receive lingerie or bath and body products.

Some friends and family will also hire private entertainment for the shower. Not all bridal showers have entertainment, some women prefer to play games and listen to music. There are usually no men invited to the shower. It is usually a girl’s night or day out to have fun and joke about the future.
