Where Can You Find Antique Bathroom Sink Faucets?
Creating an antique atmosphere in your bathroom will require a particular wallpaper pattern, trim and toilet. You can include a footed bathtub with an old-fashioned sink. To finish off the perfect antique bathroom setting, you will need to find faucets for the tub and sink to match the era of your design.
Home Improvement Store
Your Local Home Improvement Store will carry a variety of bathroom sink faucets. Some new faucets are designed to look like an antique. If you are not concerned about the authenticity of your faucets, consider purchasing new sink faucets that will meet your design standards.
Auctions
If you want sink or tub faucets that are authentic antiques, then you may spend some time looking for the perfect faucets for your bathroom. This time will be well invested because once you find the faucets, you can proudly display their beauty and quality.
Consider going to estate auctions or other public or private auctions. These events specialize in selling antique and old-fashioned pieces. Depending on the bidders present, you may get a bargain or end up paying more than a brand new faucet. Some auctions even put all of the bathroom items in a box and sell the box for one winning bid. You never know what beautiful antique pieces will be in that box. Because auctions depend solely on the items up for sale, you could visit many auctions before seeing the faucets you need.
Yard Sales
If you have time to find the perfect faucets for your bathroom, you may want to try going to yard sales or garage sales in your area. People sell everything from furniture to clothes to antique bathroom sink faucets. These sales are as unpredictable as auctions; you never know what you are going to find.
Internet
Time may be an important factor in your bathroom project. In this case, you can look for antique bathroom sink faucets in other ways. Try searching for antique sink faucets on eBay. This is an online auction site that sells hundreds of thousands of items every day. You may have to bid on the faucets, like a live auction, or you may find an auction that will offer the “Buy It Now” option. Consider other online sites when looking for the perfect antique faucets. Amazon started their business selling books, but now has everything, including antique faucets.
craigslist is another online option in your search for the perfect bathroom sink faucet. You can browse the ads listed on this site in your area or you can place a “Wanted” ad to see if anyone has the antique faucets you need.
Friends, Family and Co-workers
No matter what you are looking for, always talk with your Family, Friends and Co-Workers. It is possible that someone in your social circle has or knows someone who has what you are looking for. They may know someone else who has completed a similar project. You can post a question to your contacts on Facebook or simply let them know in conversation what you are looking for. With all the technology available today, word of mouth is still one of the most reliable ways to find what you need.
