Where to Find a Self Depression Test
If you feel that you are suffering from symptoms of depression, such as lack of sleep, mood swings or an inability to eat, you aren't alone. It is estimated that there are over 18 million adults in the United States who have also experienced depression in their lives. The best way to determine if you are is to find and take a self depression test.
- Go online to conduct a search for self-depression tests. There are numerous Internet-based depression tests that can be taken, even if you have yet to see a doctor.
- Type the words “Self Depression Test” in the search box of your preferred search engine. Click “Search” or the appropriate symbol to begin your search.
- Review the list of your search results. There are a number of online assessment tests that are available on trusted websites, such as MayoClinic.com for example.
- Click on the websites that offer the tests and read over their information as well as the instructions that are given for the test. The instructions should be clear and easy to follow. Select and take the tests that you feel the most confident about. Before starting any test however, check that it is endorsed by a reputable source.
- Ask your doctor about self depression testing if you are not completely comfortable with the online tests. If you have questions on a specific online test, would like your doctor to review the results or if you would like her to recommend a website to you, discuss it in detail at your appointment. Alternately, she can set you up with an appointment to see a psychiatrist or therapist for in-depth testing. Your family care doctor may even be able to administer a preliminary self-depression test.
