Where to Hire a Horse for Trail Rides

Taking a hike on a trail can be very relaxing but riding a horse on a trail can add loads of excitement to the trail.  There are trails that can be ridden all over the world and maybe there is one near your house.  Finding a horse to hire for the ride can be easy and fun.

  • Request a visitor’s packet for your state or a state you are going to visit.  In the packet will be a brochure of activities and happenings in that state.  Browse through it for horse trails, horseback riding, riding trails and other related topics.  You may find things near your home you did know where there.

  • Search the Internet for trails rides and horse back riding.  If you are looking for a specific area, then be sure to enter that in your search bar.  Some websites list stables in different areas of the world.

  • Visit a visitor’s center in the area you want to find a horse for a trail ride.  Visitor centers are there to help find services and activities and they would be delighted to help you find whatever you need.

  • Check the county or state website for activities and events.  Many states and counties have very nice websites that list anything tourist related.  They may also have a calendar of events on the website.

  • Ask around if anyone has suggestions.  Ask your friends and relatives if they recommend any trails that loan horses to ride along the trail.  If they do not know, they may know someone else to ask.  It doesn’t hurt just to ask.
