Why Cat Pets are Better Than Dog Pets?

The truth about cats and dogs is an age-old debate that continues to wreak havoc on couples and close friends. The fact is cats do make better pets than dogs for a host of reasons. Cats are naturally independent and are intelligent enough to figure out things for themselves. They do not require constant attention and will never tackle you when you walk in the door. Learn about why cats are the clear winners.

  • Cats are by nature calm, content, and purr when they are happy or hungry. They never bark loudly or plead for their dinner; however, they utter a soft purring sound when you stroke their silky fur and will sit contentedly by you when dinner is about to be served. They may voice an occasional hiss when unhappy or excited, which is barely audible.

  • No need to walk them in all kinds of weather or bath them after they get into everything, as they always make their way to the litter box for their deposits and meticulously clean their own coats to a silky sheen. These are innate characteristics of all felines.

  • All cats are natural hunters like their larger relatives, lions, jaguars and tigers. They show their gratitude and love by bringing their masters gifts of prey from the outdoors or significant finds from inside the home if strictly house cats.

  • There is no need for a leash. If your kitty wants to roam outside for a while, they can do so with no problem and will return home when summoned. Their innate intelligence and independence always guides them.

  • Cats are polite and can control themselves when guests come and go. They will never beg for attention, jumping on and pawing your friend’s new silk suit or humping his leg. Cats are rarely seen and prefer to observe from under the sofa or sitting on the TV set. They will stay out of the way and will never snatch your food during dinner.

Felines are low-maintenance, peaceful, affectionate and playful; they smell good at all times, and have excellent manners. Even though dogs are man’s best friend, cats make excellent pals that require little more than the opportunity to relax in your lap, chow down on Purina or play with their favorite ball of yarn.
