Never Again!
I have rented from Bear Camp Cabin Rentals before and had a great little place. This time I rented "Treasured Memories." The cabin needs many repairs and updates. The pics do not tell the accurate story. The cabin is spacious and secluded, it is not "awesome" like the a...d says. The hot tub was dirty and the cover all torn. The coffee table looked sturdy, but don't touch it (scared it was going to collapse before we got out of there). All the towels and dish towels were dingy and thread bare. Needed spraying for spiders (huge brown spiders in the living room). The pool table top was torn. The front door to the cabin needs painting or maybe just cleaning, looks NASTY! The beautiful big windows in the living room need cleaning. I could go on and on!
The cabin was pretty but some stuff needs fixing
We stayed at the Angelic View cabin very pretty but the dishwasher smelled like it had rotten garbage in it so my husband would not eat off any of the dishes in the cabin and a lot of the plugs didn't work very well in the bathrooms.. other then that it was so pretty.. ...the couch in the main room felt dirty and I really wouldn't sit on it... The hot tub had a little algae in it but the view was pretty....
Stayed here and regretted it. Rent somewhere else
This company is so ridiculous. We had problem after problem and they didn't care. Even slept on linens that had dried blood and urine all over them. We were beside ourselves upset after pulling back the covers and seeing it. We stayed in Grin and Bear It and it was ...old and run down. Furniture tore up, floors dirty and scratched. The hot tub didn't work, the ice maker didn't work....it was never ending and this company didn't care. When we complained to the BBB they told them the sent housekeeping out twice to reclean the place, but they lied. And the supervisor, Travis, wouldn't talk to me to try to fix it. Ridiculous. Don't stay here. There are too many other rental places to choose from. I have pictures of it all if anyone wants to see it.
NEVER AGAIN
15 years of family vacations to this area, the WORST experience i've ever had. DO NOT waste your vacation time or hard earned money with these people. TERRIBLE customer service, numerous problems with the cabin. The door lock was broken, arcade game that was advertised ...in the cabin, BROKEN. Hot Tub, BROKEN. Coffee pot, BROKEN. Inside jacuzzi tub didn't hold water. We called three times and the staffs response...They read the lease agreement that states they are not responsible for these things. Please....DO NOT let your vacation be ruined like ours was. I have never had an experience like this and will never rent from this company again.
A Joke!
Bear Camp Cabin Rentals is a JOKE! Had a great time, although we couldn't get to one of the beds, the futon was broken down, the pool table was pitiful. And then when we get home, we get the credit card bill and we were charged for peeing in the bed! Severe urine stains...???? Seriously?? 9 adults in one cabin and we peed in the bed. They are such a joke. Never staying there again.
Terrible Experience--look elsewhere
1000 characters is not enough to describe the filth and cheapness of this cruddy little cabin. There were bugs, the sheets were technically clean but greyish and dingy and did not fit the beds properly, the cheap fuzzy blankets were so filthy we were afraid to put them ...on the bed, there was dried food caked onto the cooking utensils, the driveway was so steep that we couldn't get our car up it (despite the fact that I specifically asked about this potential problem on the phone and was assured that it would not be an issue). I could go on. I will never even consider this company again, and I urge others to look elsewhere also, if you have any kind of standard-of-living scruples at all.
