Best Youth Martial Arts in Bethel, CT
Bethel Academy of Martial Arts has been amazing for my two boys, ages 5 and 11. The staff is great, engaging, and motivating. It's honestly the highlight of my children's day. Guru George and his team focuses on situational self-defense skills, mental and physical training, and FUN!! My wife and I cannot recommend it enough!
Amazing Environment - You cannot go wrong.
We are lucky to have this great establishment right around the corner from the school and home. I debated several locations to send my son who was interested in "karate" from other commercials on TV. I was pleasantly surprised that a MMA class for kids specializing in t...hese southeast Asian Pacific martial arts is offered so close. It's way more beneficial than the traditional karate or taekwondo classes where belts are given just for showing up. Bethel Academy of Martial Arts has a great implementation of discipline and respect in your children. Guru George, along with Guru Joe, and all of the helpers, have a wide spectrum of knowledge on building confidence, strength, self defense, maintaining a good attitude, being sociable with greetings and handshaking, all the while creating this in a fun environment. My kid can't get enough. He wants to go every day of the week!
BAMA = Life Skills
My son started attending BAMA a few months ago and he loves the place. Guru George is a firm but fair teacher and truly loves the children he instructs as much as he has a passion for the martial arts he trains them in. The school is convenient and his youth assistants are great with the students as well.

I can not stress enough how beneficial the Bethel Academy of Martial Arts has been for my daughter. It teaches kids vital life lessons that they dont get in any other school environment. Best of all, she loves going!
Great Martial Arts Training and Even Better Life Skills Training
My 6 year old daughter has been going to the Bethel Academy of Martial Arts for the better half of a year and loves it! In that time, I have seen amazing growth and change in terms of her focus and confidence as well as her behavior at home. She and her classmates are l...earning about martial arts skills and important life skills such as stranger danger, about how to make a confident introduction and about being accountable for her actions. Guru George and his staff are amazing. I highly recommend this program and I am sure our other daughters will be attending when they are old enough. We love the BAMA family.

Guru George is not only highly trained and motivating, he promotes the same sense of discipline and understanding of an art that he is... so passionate about and that comes through in his training, every single day. My daughter is not only pushed to her capabilities but also consistently instructed in perfecting technique. Everyone has to earn their belt, they are never given for just time or showmanship - but for ability, understanding theory and knowledge. Guru George also does an amazing job teaching the kids about social awareness and good citizenship. I highly recommend giving your child the gift of such invaluable training!
