I
have been doing some research on updates to Montana law regarding
property and casualty insurance. Some of the changes include, You will
not be able to register your vehicle without having proof of insurance.
and for those of you thinking, "Well, I will just buy a policy, register
my car, and never make another payment," I urge you to pay close
attention to the next part of the act. Police will have in place a
verification system , so when you hand them a card on a policy that is
not in force you will be subject to suspension of your vehicles
registration and must pay a reinstatement fee. (in addition to fines/
penalties) So the days of buying a policy and letting it cancel right
away are over. I would suggest to you that if you do not have insurance
now, talk to someone who can help guide you through the process. Don't
pay more in a panic call Affordable Insurance Center. 406-595-9944
