How can you fix Norton Internet Security Email Error

Jun 30, 2020

Norton antivirus has a famous security program which has millions of satisfied users. Norton has numerous top features that are necessary to keep the device protected from all threats. When you get the Norton product key activation, it allows you to access all the premium security tools so you can work without any security concerns. Norton has a powerful scanning feature which flushes out all the harmful malware from the device. The powerful firewall and VPN tools of Norton keeps your network secured. But some people reported that they face email errors due to Norton antivirus. Norton is blocking the network and the mail server is getting interrupted.

If you are getting email errors then you should immediately check your internet connection. The weak internet connection can get you into this error. But sometimes the email gets rejected by the ISP when it considers the email as spam. Make sure you have entered the correct recipient’s address. People often mistype the email address and then get into sending issues.

Norton has an email protection tool that provides an extra layer of protection while sending and receiving the emails. If someone sends you a malicious email then Norton will send the email to the spam folder. If you are getting issues while receiving the emails then check your spam folder. If you get your email on the spam folder and you are sure that the email is not dangerous then you can mark the recipient as safe. From the next time, Norton will not send your emails from that receipt on the spam folder. But if you still get the same error if you are facing issues while sending the email then disable the Norton email scan. Norton email protection tool checks every outgoing email to ensure that no data is traveling outside your device without your concern. But if this tool is getting you into errors then disable Norton outgoing email scan.

Steps for disabling outgoing email scan:

  1. Close all running program
  2. Click on Norton icon from the desktop
  3. Norton dashboard will appear on the screen
  4. Go to My Norton window
  5. Click on Open button
  6. Now click on the Settings tab
  7. Tap the Antivirus option
  8. Go to Email Antivirus Scan option
  9. Scans and Risks tab will appear on the screen
  10. Tap the Configure button

  15. Go to the drop-down menu and click on Permanently
  16. Press the OK button
  17. Go to Email Antivirus Scan window
  18. Hit the OK button

Now close the Norton dashboard and try to send an email. If you are still facing the same error then you should seek other solutions.

Norton firewall actively monitors all your incoming and outgoing data. If it detects any suspicious data, the firewall immediately blocks the network. If you are getting issues in sending or receiving emails then try disabling your Norton firewall temporarily.

Follow the steps given below for disabling the firewall:

  1. Close all running programs
  2. Click on Norton icon
  3. Select Device Security
  4. Hit the Open button
  5. Go to Norton main window
  6. Click on Settings
  7. Now choose Firewall
  8. Go to General Setting tab
  9. Now toggle the Smart Firewall button to Off
  10. Hit the Apply button

You will get some on-screen commands. Follow the on-screen commands to turn off the Norton firewall temporarily. Now try to send the email. If you are now able to send or receive the email then it means the firewall has detected a safe file as suspicious mistakenly. But if you are still getting the same error then you turn on your Norton firewall and check for other solutions.
