Our guide to visit Disneyland with toddlers

Apr 08, 2018

Family trips and vacations to the far off areas could be a fun thing that you are going to memorize for the rest of your life. Taking road trips and tours alone or with your better half is very romantic and fun in its own accord but making family trips with kids and specially toddlers is something that you cannot forget easily and you could give anything to take them back to that lovely land for the amount of happiness they felt on the last trip.

Out of all the amazing places to visit with the kids, the one that is totally going to get them nuts and also you can enjoy them too, is the visit to Disneyland. Meeting their favorite cartoon characters in real, dressing up like them, taking photos with them and visiting the castles and enjoying every details in the movie is such an overwhelming experience that you are going to enjoy it a lot.

As much as this trips can be enjoyable, it is challenging as well when you go with the toddlers. You have to make sure you have all the things needed there so you don’t have to get any bad mood either yourself or for the kids. From the parents who visit the Disneyland with their toddlers, we have got a list of things to do and to remember for your next visit. It is important to keep these in mind and learn from the experiences of the other parents to have as successful and fuss free tour to the Disneyland.

·       Get the stroller and the diaper bag as a must

As you will be walking a lot around in the Disneyland, picking your kids up in your arms or asking them to walk all the way would be a really bad idea. A kid with legs hurting can’t move easily around the park while a stroller can help them explore the world while they sit comfortably. Make use of a good diaper bag as well. You will have to wait in line at several places and changing the kids could occur occasionally so take a bag that is comfortable and that can fit all the stuff you need plus your phone and park tickets. Pack the bag in a good way so it won’t look bad either. The more comfortable you will be with the diaper bag, the better you can enjoy the rides.

·       Try getting the souvenirs before you leave

Everyone likes to have those Minnie mouse ears on their heads while they are in the park, or to get some baby Minnie mouse dresses infants, or some Disney character hat to wear or even the princess dresses for the little girls. But the thing is that you have to spend a good fortune on these little things as well apart from all the other expenses. To save some dollars on these items, our tips is to do them yourself. For this you will have to buy a few raw materials from the market and enjoy them just as the others are enjoying theirs.

·       Book a place to stay in before hand

There are a lot of places to stay in around the Disneyland as the park is huge and you need regular nap times as well to keep fresh. The kids don’t mind napping in the stroller but you need a place to get fresh and to spend the night as well. For booking, you can browse the places online and look for a suitable one to make your stay comfortable. The prices are very high for the rooms and apartments but a little struggle can get you your desired place that would be near to the Disneyland and economical as well.

·       Get as many snacks for the kids as possible

Toddler is another word for monster and the ids can easily turn to a monster when they are getting bored or hungry. So pack as many snacks as you can for the kids and don’t forget their favorite ones. This is the best thing to keep them busy while you are waiting in the line or they can get out of hands and make a lot of noise.

·       Don’t miss the parades at Disneyland at all

If you want to see all the characters from the Disney world and don’t want your kids to miss the real fun then get to the parades in there. The parades are very exciting and fun thing to attend. Your kids are going to get crazy seeing all those characters and the night time light up parade is also amazing. You would be overwhelmed with joy to see your kids all excited seeing them.

·       Some general tips for the Disneyland tour with toddlers

Since toddlers understand things less than the older kids, you have to make sure that you have packed all that they need or they can ask for in your bag.

o  Get their snack boxes filled up with whatever they like. Take the sippy cups for them so you can refill water for them while you are moving along in the park.

o   Get the umbrellas for the strollers so you can hide the kids from the exposure to sunlight. Bring some sunscreen lotion to avoid the sunscreen hitting your skin and apply it throughout the day.

o   Dress your kids in comfy and bright colored clothes so that the pictures you take appear better.

o  Get to the park early everyday so you can meet the characters right in time.

o  Going to the Disneyland with some other family members is ideal so you can also enjoy taking the rides while they take care of the kids.

o  Use a map for the Disneyland to know what you want to do each day. You can split up the tour according to the number of days you have there so you don’t miss a thing.

o  Mark your phone number on the stroller visibly so that if it gets misplaced, it does get back to you in time.
