Look no further! Jeff Wyler Frankfort Honda is your participating Kentucky Honda CARS dealer! Our Louisville, Lexington, Frankfort, and other KY new Honda buyers who want to take advantage of the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS), formerly and better known as the "Cash for Clunkers" bill, can contact us to not only see if they qualify, but also allow our trained specialists to assist you in using the voucher if you are eligible.
First - the CARS program should be in operation by late July, as the bill was signed into legislation on June 24th, and there is a 30 day period following signature to get everything into place. A quick summary on how it works is that our Kentucky customers from Frankfort, Lexington, or Louisville, can bring in their old "clunker" and get "cash" in return. The trade-in vehicle with low gas mileage is exchanged for a qualifying voucher if the new Honda they buy has improved gas mileage, and either a $3,500 or $4,500 voucher is issued by the government to offset the purchase price of the new vehicle.Of course it is not that simple, there are lots of requirements and details to see if you qualify.
