Collins came out and put in a new heat pump system in fall of 09 they did not set the t-stat correctly so the first month it ran primarily on aux heat. After that incident I decided they basically are installers of new systems not service guys. Since then i have learn...ed they did not hook the wires up correctly to the t-stat resulting in emergency heat function not working, the drain to remove condensation from air handler flowed up hill resulting in an overflow of water. Their work quality was very poor when they ran the wires and heating lines into the house the just cut a hole and filled it with a big glob of silicone. Recently I've just found out they used non-metallic wire for all the out door wiring and it has started to deteriorate because its not made for sunlight, and where they ran the wires into the unit they drilled a hole and did not use a connector so the wires chafed because of rubbing. So that is why I give Collins Mechanical a 1 star rating I wish it could go lower Read More
