Damons Grill Corporate Office

I am a local business owner in Sandusky and we used to enjoy going to the local Damons located at Battery Park on Sandusky Bay. They recently reopened and we went there today 7/19/15 for our son's birthday. Overall we were very disappointed in the food (the service wa...s fine and the server was noticeably embarrassed and even told us that this was kind of the norm). First I ordered the Baby back ribs which comes with two sides. I usually get a double Caesar salad instead of a potato. This time they wanted to charge me $2.00 extra which is absurd for a few more leafs of romaine. I usually opt for the extra salad because I am not a frozen French fry fan and usually they have no other green veggies. I spoke with the one manager and told her and she said they had green beans. I specifically asked how they were prepared and she said they were steamed. Usually they boil them which ruins the taste. When they came out they were boiled with absolutely no seasoning. Also the ribs when served were cold. Not a good experience. Sandusky is a tourist destination. At 6 PM on a Sunday I expected they would be full. Not the case. Maybe a few tables but that was it. They should be packed at this time of the year. Once the tourists go home they will need to depend on locals for support. There was another manager, Scott. He was also very complacent about our experience as well. In conclusion, we will not be returning again and I would maybe give them a few months before they will be gone. I went to eat at the new Damons in Sandusky Ohio and was very disappointed. The staff was extremely rude. They charged me to much and I asked to talk to a manager and was told he was busy. I later found out the man that I was talking to was the manager. His staff came u...p and said they have had numerous problems with him. I asked for his name and he would not give it to me. They do not where name tags at this restaurant. My family and I love this place but the new employees were extremely rude. The food was over cooked and the head manager wouldn't talk to me at all. He walked in the kitchen until we left. I would really like a call from the corporate office. I have met numerous people that said they will not return and this place has been open for a week. Damon's used to be good What happened? I placed a take out order and when I got there they did not give me the correct amount of change and then I told them I was not comfortable and wanted my money back they would not give me my money back .I was stuck with food that I... did not want. Also when I got home the vegetables tasted sour/spoiled.I ate some of the ribs and am keeping the veggies.If I get sick in the next 24 to 36 hours , I will have the Allegheny County Health Department and ,my attorney with every news channel for 2 to 222 channels there and of course with my attorney:):) Read More

I was told by an employee that he watched a cockroach run across the food line. I will never go there again!!! Thank god he doesn't work there any more.

Once again, on Sunday, January 17th, my husband and I experienced extremely poor service at Damon's Restaurant in Grand Blanc Michigan. I spoke with both managers, Megan and Jesse - their response to the problem - less than acceptable. I left a message with Megan twic...e, asking that she have Jesse call me. After waiting several days I finally called back a third time. Jesse stated that he did not get my previous messages -however during our conversaton Jesse mentioned something that he could have only known by getting the pevious messages from Megan. I have to wonder if Jesse did get the messages but chose to ignore me in hopes that I would go away. Jesse stated that the poor service would never happen again. On Aug. 11, 2009, I took my mother and sister to Damon's. My sister and I ordered a steak, shrimp and onion straws. When our food arrived, everything was literally swimming in grease. My sister ordered the same thing and her food was greasy also. I picked up a shrim...p and it dripped grease. Our server asked how everything was. I told him the problem. He said that he would talk to the kitchen help. A manager came by and asked the same question. He responded in the same manner. I ended up getting a bunch of napkins, on my own, and tried to mop up some of the oil that was on my plate. My sister tried to lay her food on napkins.
