Never again
Went into Del�s to grab some dog food. My daughter (age 12) and I saw they had new chicks in. One was not doing well (she most likely wouldn�t have made it). Being that my family has successfully raised chicks (usually the injured/abandoned kind) my daughter went... up to the register to tell the clerks. There were two there at the time. They brushed her off. I was NOT HAPPY. I have my dog food, and I tell the other clerk up there that there is no reason why that poor chick should be there in front of customers. His response, �Well we�ve been busy.� To put a chick in a box and move it doesn�t take much effort, okay? My daughter was in tears. I decided I was NEVER going back there again. We get in the car, get 2 blocks down the road and my daughter decides she needs to at least give that chick some care in its dying moments. She wanted to bring it home. I take her back�and the clerks tell her they can�t give her a single chick�they must be purchased by the half dozen. HELLO, idiots! The chick was dying. You saw my daughter upset�and yet you pull this? We are farm people. We know things die�..but we don�t let them suffer.I will never go back there again.
