Discount Remote Control Hobbies

Back in Feb '12, I purchased an RC Sailboat from them, paid in full, and had them ship it to me. Packaging was insufficient and the sailboat arrived very heavily damaged. Discount filed the insurance claim because they were the originators of the shipment. They recei...ved insurance settlement in May '12, but it's late Sept. '12 and they haven't sent me any of the insurance settlement. I've called many times. At first they claimed they had credited my credit card. I checked, the didn't. Then when I would call, they would say they just put the check in the mail. They didn't. It seems to me like this might be some kind of scam they run...have a damaged shipment so you can keep the insurance as well as the purchase price. I would never recommend this shop and I will never do business with them again. Bad mojo. Read More
