Drews Chocolates

My mom and I saw the Drew's Chocolate sign on the interstate on the way to Des Moines last weekend. We decided to check it out. ( and boy are we glad we did!) We were given a toffee crunch and a sea salt caramel to sample. I ended up getting a box of each. My mom and ...I ate almost both boxes before we made it to Des Moines. Our cousins devoured the rest. My boyfriend surprised me with Drew's chocolates a few years ago. I have been a loyal customer ever since! Other chocolates that I used to love are no comparison! My favorite are their chocolate covered potato chips, a must try! The business owners are hard working people that strive to offer the best. I highly recommend Drew's!

I first visited Drew's Chocolates over 70 years ago with my Great grandmother who was related to Mrs. Drew. I still vividly remember walking through the candy making kitchen in complete awe of the enormous copper pots filled with melted chocolate, and the bins and bin...s of various kinds of nuts. I do not doubt that if you are a local, long time customer it is probable that you are treated differently than a first time customer who happened to stop on the day before Valentine's Day. me and my whole family absolutly love Drew's. it has a nice assortment of chocolates at a reasonable price. All the choclates are well displayed. the service there is always friendly. getting Drews is always a special treat.

I just returned from Drew's today so I decided to get on line to compliment them. I was shocked to read the negative comments Judge Judy from Omaha made on Feb. 14, 2011. Judge Judy made several rude comments so I found myself wondering if maybe it was Judy just having... a bad day. I feel that for a small company to be around since 1927, they have to be doing something right. I am a 2nd generation that has been stopping at Drew's and I have always found the variety of chocolates to be extensive and extremely delicious. The house and shop are connected and the owner has always had the shop decorated to the seasons. I find the shop to be "quite cute.!" My family and I have never found the owner to be rude nor anything but helpful. We have found the prices to be listed in their brochures and in the showcase next to the candy.
