Ripped me off!!!!!

I called the office to get a quote for contacts and to make sure that the office accepted my insurance. I spoke to a woman who told me that my insurance paid well and that it would cost me a total of 40.00 for the copay. On the day I went in, again for new contacts, I w...as charged at the end of the visit 40.00, the part my insurance did not cover, and for the contacts which I ordered from the office. On the day my contacts came in I asked my boyfriend to pick them up for me because I could not make it to the office before they closed. I explained to him that I had already paid in full so he just needed to pick up the contacts. Once he got there he was told that he must pay an additional 50.00 for the portion my insurance did not cover before he picked up the contacts, which he paid. I called because I was told, not once but twice, that the cost was 40.00 and the insurance covered the rest. I spoke to the office manager who told me the first lady I spoke to was "new" and did not know the cost. I asked about the second lady who I paid and the office manager told me that she had no idea why I was not told of the additional charge and that it was for a "contact fitting". I worked in an opthomologist office for 9 years and know that I did not receive a "contact fitting" and that could be the reason my insurance would not pay for it. When I told the office manager that I did not receive a contact fitting and that I knew exactly what a contact fitting was she said that the doctor wrote that I received one. All I can say is that I am also filing a complaint with the BBB and it is a shame that a doctor's office will rip patients off and play the bait and switch instead of being up front and honest about the price!

Wrong Diagnosis!!

I took my daughter here and he said her condition was extremely serious and put her in glasses with bifocals and prisms. Said he wanted to use vision therapy to try to correct her eyes. She had horrible headaches from the moment she got her new glasses. We went back for... the follow up, the office booked the wrong type of appointment and we saw Dr. Hamilton's partner. He said there was nothing wrong with her eyes and would have never put her in glasses. We then went to another dr and he agreed. She has 20/25 vision and does not need glasses. Also, their website and location says VSP accepted and when I called VSP, VSP had no idea who they were. I would not recommend this provider to anyone.

small easy going office

Dr. Hamilton took the time to answer my questions and to evaluate a previously mis-diagnosed problem. I appreciated his honesty and willingness to listen. He even offered suggestions in my diet and supplements that might prevent eye issues down the road. I loved his "whole" person approach. Would highly recommend.

Hamilton Family Eyecard

Dr. Hamilton and his staff took great time and care to get me fitted with a prescription for glasses and contacts. Friendly, professional and easy going all at the same time.

Never bring your child to Dr. Hamilton

I brought my 7yr old into see Dr. Hamilton. I expressed that I had a feeling that she was not being truthful about needing glassed. She had failed the exam at school along with several other little girles in her class "glasses are cool". I have had eye exams before and ...had much more done and checked than what was done for her. So he told me that she needed glasses. That mostly girls from 9-12 have a change in hormons and need them for several months then there eyes will be back to normal. Well she is 7. On top of that the school needed a note. Dr. Hamilton wrote a note saying to please conceder this to be the reason for her learning disability. Who is he to make that call a eye Dr. So I brought her for a second opinion. Guess what they did a exam a "good" exam and she passed 20/20. Now I am out of pocket $60.00. He told me to prove him wrong and I did.

Optometrist

I have brought my whole family to see Dr. Hamilton. He also does eye exams for kids which some optometrists won?t do. He is also good about explaining test results to you. I have been to some doctors that get annoyed when you ask questions, but Dr. Hamilton has never acted like that. I recommend going and seeing him if you need an eye exam!
