People who say hooved haven is bad are wrong
I take lessons at hooved haven and i am very satisfied.I have read a couple of the reviews and I think people are just cruel and mean when they write reviews.I'm even thinking of buying a horse and keeping it there.It is a wonderful place.There are competitions and they are fare.

If you board at hooved haven you run the chance of your horses health going downhill. They put the word ghetto in the phrase ghetto rig.

Hooved Haven. The name is what it is! A haven for hooves! This place is great to start learning, or challenge yourself on a variety of wonderful horses. The staff and help is nothing but kind and give help in any way! I used to board my horse here but moved due to drivi...ng issues and other reason. I'd move back here in a SNAP! They rescue abused animals and turn them into beautiful, cleaned up show material wonders! This place is GREAT! There are none ABSOLUTELY no faults against this place. The stalls are cleaned daily and no horse has died with "mysterious reason". The have gone peacefully and under God's will. Hands down, Hooved Haven by far is the warmest, kind-hearted barn in all of Illinois. No barn can compare. Board, take lessons or relax with the ponies, Hooved Haven is the barn for you.
Not a good experience.
They have some great horses over there, but the place is poorly managed. After taking a horse bite there, I became very ill. It could have been a coincidence, but I was not sure. I asked to speak with their vet to confirm that the horse was up-to-date with his vaccin...ations. The manager refused to give me the vet's telephone number. To me that was VERY suspicious. I was share boarding a horse over there, but my access to the horse was very limited. I was not allowed to canter that much. I could not ride when the temperature fell below twenty degrees. (Horses can endure cold weather much better than we can.) And as if all that was not bad enough, TWICE WHEN I ARRIVED TO RIDE I WAS LOCKED OUT OF THE TACK ROOM!!! The people there seem more interested in ground work than actually riding the horses. Although ground work has its place, I really wanted to ride. The owners are pretty friendly folks, but I did not like the manager at all. If you want to ride, find a better barn.
What a great place....
I keep my all my horses there and I love it. I am not sure about the person that wrote beware, but obviously they are disgrutled. So it is probably a good thing you are not there. Anyway, it's like a big family over there and the board, short of turn out where I have... other horses, is some of the least in the area with around the clock care. I highly recommend it and the owners are wonderful people that do wonderful recue missions. Again I highly recommend it. They have all kinds of lessons with great instructors and a very friendly staff.

I think it is sad that in this day and age people say such slanderous things but DON'T HAVE THE CURAGE to talk to the person directly. It is also sad that people have to hide behind blogs to say such outragous things. To the person who wrote the last review I say GROW... UP!!!! GET THE COUAGE TO TALK TO THE PERSON YOU ARE UP SET WITH. Don't hide behind blogs. In regards to Hooved Haven I couldn't be happier!!!! I have been there for years. My horses are happy. I am happy. It is a fun family barn. You are a fool not to board at this barn.
