About HousePaws Mobile Veterinary Service

We provide mobile veterinary care in an attentive, loving & high quality manner in the comfort of your home. We began in April 2010 with one doctor, Dr. Lisa Aumiller, working out of her vehicle providing mobile veterinary care to South Jersey clients. We have evolve...d into a four doctor, 16 staff, two ambulances, and a medicine delivery practice. In February 2013, we completed our build out of our main clinic in Mt. Laurel, NJ making HousePaws a true hybrid combining the best of mobile practice with a primary location offering radiography, surgery and dentistry. Since our inception we have served over 3400 clients representing over 8000 patients and just over 19100 patient visits. Today, we care for patients within 45 minutes of our main location servicing South Jersey and Philadelphia. We promise...once you try HousePaws you'll want to give applause.

Highly Reccomended

Dr Shannon Heintz of HousePaws is the most incredible vet I have ever dealt with. I went through a very stressful situation with my cat getting sick with both kidney disease and heart failure at the same time. Dr Heintz “day by day” motto helped me care for my sic...k cat and gave me 7 weeks of quality time with her before she passed. She made sure that my cat did not suffer and lived her best life until the very end. During these stressful times, as pet owners, we have so many questions and so much comes up that it was so important to know that I had a Doctor that was patient and willing to answer my questions thoroughly. I felt she had my pet’s best interest at heart and that made me feel great about her treatment plan. Her knowledge, skill set, compassion, and care are exactly what I looked for in a vet. Losing my pet was one of the hardest moments of my life but knowing that HousePaws and Dr Heintz were there made such a difference and I would not go elsewhere!

Sad and horrible experience

I took my foster dog of 3 months to HousePaws to be humanely euthanized after being informed by my family vet that his kidneys were failing. (I spent 3 months trying to determine what his ailments were and why he was returned to the shelter 3 times with trial and error ...of medicines, dieting, and medical tests and made the decision to do this before he started severely suffering.) The vet came in and asked me what his ailments were. I told her the diagnosis from my vet. She began insinuating that my vet gave an incorrect diagnosis by suggesting it sounded more like diabetes, and that he looks happy and healthy (happy, yes. Healthy, no.) We informed her that he has been tested for everything under the sun already, and this was not an easy decision. She proceeded to start the process giving him a sedative needle in his back muscle. We told the vet that he fights these medicines as he is on anxiety medication and is on a higher dosage than most dogs his size. She left the room, while my poor beagle stumbled around the room for 15 minutes, fighting to sit still. When the vet re-entered the room, I asked if this was a normal process for them. I have never seen it done this way, it is usually a 1-2-3 step process, and it was agony for us and our poor dog. She informed us that she is a fill-in and at her hospital they use an IV. She brought in the items to insert the IV to my drugged up dog, while he squirmed and cried as she failed to hit his vein. She finally decided to take him out of the room to complete the IV, but where we could still hear them. He screamed a sound I have never heard come out of him; 3 separate times. She finally brought my poor foster baby back into the room drugged up and finally euthanized him. I will not say humanely, because nothing about this was humane. The entire process took over an hour. When we went to leave, I was told we owed double the amount that I was told prior to the visit. When I told the girl I had in a text message the correct amount, she miraculously found the correct amount on her screen as well. This was the worst experience I have ever encountered with any veterinarian's office. I did this process to prevent him from the horrible pain and suffering of the final stages of renal failure. HousePaws was inhumane to my poor dog during his last and final moments with us.

Excellent

I must say my Westie receives the best care from Dr Matt at Hoisr Paws. Dr Matt answers all my concerns and questions. There id always a follow up. I love that they come to house for a nominal fee. This last visit Nancy, the vet tech and Dr Matt sat on the floor as my ...dog was not comfortable with the exam table. I thank them both for making my dog priority. You guys rock !! Awesome Care Right At Home

House Paws mobile vet service is so wonderful. Dr. Wood and her assistant Nikki are so gentle and caring. One of my cats who hisses at other vets was docile around Dr. Wood and Nikki. The mobile home service is so much less stressful for your pets and you! No cages, sc...ary car rides or long waits at the animal hospital. All three of my cats had thorough checkups with test results called in the very next day! Our newest rescue kitten was spayed at the House Paws Center and she did very well. She was able to come home the same day to recover comfortably at home. Pain meds and a soft collar were purchased in case she needed them. The center called to see how she was doing the next day. I know they care a lot about their furry patients. I highly recommend House Paws. My husband and I are so impressed and especially love the house calls.

Mobile Vet Care.. with LOTS OF LOVE!

What a WONDERFUL group of people!! It was fate that I found them when I did. My cat was in distress, and I called them around 11am.. and it just so happened they were in my area early that afternoon. Dr. Woods called me to let me know they had had an emergency and would... be about 1/2 late - SO NICE! - and when she and Lizzy (assistant) arrived, I instantly felt like my 'best girlfriends' dropped by full of emotional support. They made a very BAD situation bearable for both me and my beloved cat, Bomber. How wonderful that I didn't have to transport him somewhere (they said he probably wouldn't have survived the trip) and that he could be 'put to sleep' comfortably in his own surroundings. I have even received a condolence card with a handwritten personal message from their team. This group is SO LOVELY, WARM and CARING!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making one of my most difficult days, bearable. I know Bomber is in a better place.. and I know he went there with nothing but love surrounding him. You guys are the BEST!! and a special 'shout out' to Christina who was AWESOME when I first called. I was a MESS, and she really helped me through that initial call! YOU ALL ROCK!!!

Mobile Vet Care

I had a visit today from the Mobile Vet Wagon and I was very satisfied with the promptness, care, concern and professional they showed during the visit. They took their time and made certain I understood exactly what was being done. Dannielle Moreno and her assistant were very professional, kind, and polite.
