Today I got a call from them, trying to pretend I didn't pay and charge my credit card. Whatever you do, do not give y...our credit info to this company they are trying to illegally use it. Furthermore, If you pay in cash make sure you get a receipt or refuse to pay.

OK, but pricing minimum is an issue
I've used Manic Maids about 4 times, all in the last half year, and have been mostly pleased but with some issues. Once they sent 2 maids who didn't speak English and had to be instructed over the phone by their manager. The actual cleaning performed has always been q...uite satisfactory, however. My primary issue is with their price plan: they charge a minimum of 3 hrs per visit regardless of how small your apt/condo is or if it doesn't merit that much time to clean. I have a small 1-bdrm condo and was charged for 3 hrs a couple of times for cleaning that didn't take 3 hrs. Very irritating. Availability has also occasionally been an issue; sometimes they can't come for most of a week.
10 Years of Great Service...
...and running... I started using Manic Maids when they were a small company in 1993, and continue to use them regularly. The service has always been great. Friendly personnel as well who will "jump through hoops" to get the job done, and done right, even when my reques...ts are occasionally unrealistic. I strongly recommend them. Awful! These people failed to show!!
Awful. These people stood me up today. I called 2x during the week to confirm an 8 am cleaning, given my tight schedule for an important party. Day before right before they closed, they left a message confirming a noon cleaning. I left message, and woman called ba...ck changing it to 9 am. \t\n\t\nToday 9 am came and went without a maid. Have left 3 messages and heard back nothing.
Use Manic Maids
I've been using Manic Maids regularly for close to 4 years to clean my 3 BR condo in Wicker Park. They've been flexible with my ever-changing schedule and have always been very conscientious about their work. I would, and have, recommended them to others.
