Great Music Store
Metropolitan Music was the best at helping my son choose which instrument to play. (He wanted to play saxophone, but his hands are too small, so he can play clarinet until he grows bigger, then switch.) No one else even asked about his hands! Plus, clarinet is much les...s expensive than sax. Lots of pointers for a non-musical Mom. I knew nothing going in, but they helped me make good decisions. I actually spent less money than I would have at the other store, and bought the right things that I wouldn't have known about otherwise. They are a resource - had everything on the list from the band teacher. I also thought that they were the easiest to understand about rental rates. Some other places said one thing on the phone but it it changed when we went to the store - very confusing - lots of conditions about rental rates, extra charges, and how many months to pay in advance. Metropolitan only required one month's rent to start - everyone else required three months - quite a difference!
