Very High Pressure, Deceptive, and Rude

We were in the final stages of negotiation for a 2009 Altima. I had questions about the value of my trade-in and how to get the money to Classic. They wouldn't take anything except a cashier's check. The salesman was unwilling to help us solve the problem of the cash...ier's check and then tried a bait and switch ploy on the value of our trade-in. He told us to get a cashier's check or "we don't want the business." Then he got really nasty and said "we are done here." I was aghast at our treatment. I am a very qualified buyer. Salespeople just simply DO NOT act this way. I went straight to Tri-City Nissan. They accepted a check for the deposit and the finance manager and my husband worked out a wire transfer for the remaining balance. The check cleared, the transfer worked, and two days later I am driving a new car. Tri-City worked with me, were not high pressure, and gave me a better deal. If you go to Classic be prepared for a protracted and difficult negotiation.
