I sent my PS3 fat in after the yellow light of death! They not only repaired it, but removed my DVD that was stuck, and Upgraded the cooling capability. I use my PS3 for hours at a time and have had no further issues. Great job!

My ps3 went down with the ylod. These guys got it fixed and sent back and a little over 2 weeks with all my data salvaged. I'm very pleased with choosing them over sending it back to sony. My only complaint is that they didnt answer my phone call or call me back after I left a message. I've had it back for a month now with no issues and was able to backup my files.

I sent my Fat 60 PS3 in for YLOD service early October of 2012. I searched for a repair service and luckily found R.S.O.L. Yet the one thing I never came across for any repair service company is a review from 6 months or more down the road after getting it back. So here... it is. Sent in my PS3 for repair because the backwards compatibility was a big deal for me. Main reason is for my addiction to the PS2 Gallop Racer series. When my PS3 YLOD I HAD to get it fixed and not lose any data. Sent it off to R.S.O.L. and they hit every date they said along the repair, sending pictures of it along the way. Which is just the little extra effort in customer service that will keep me coming back if I need them again. Got my PS3 back October 10th, exactly 6 months to the date of this review, and it is still running perfect. My 40 Gig PS3 finally died on me and it never really fazed me because i could simply replace it for cheap and new at that from a local Game stop considering i was already planing to upgrade to a PS4. R.S.O.L. PC Services, or PS3Repairshop as I knew them are definately the guys to go when bringing your PS3 back to life the RIGHT way. I had an original 60GB launch model that I had since early '07 and it had finally died on me sometime in mid '12. All my research led m...e to find out about the dreaded YLOD which was definately my fault, for I had never dusted my unit and played it in a cramped, unventilated slot in my tv stand that was meant for a VCR. I didn't want to get any of the newer 'slim' models because I loved the originals' PS2 backwards compatability and all the bells and whistles of 4USB ports and sd card slots. So I looked all over the internet and at local shops to see if I anybody could fix it, and most guys didn't even want to touch it because they had gotten so many units returned. Then I came upon the PS3repairshop and I was a little weary at first with all the 5 star reviews, but they were credible and I took their route. I followed all the rules and shipped my PS3 to begin the long journey of fixing it. R.S.O.L. PC Services did everything by the book and right on schedule. Sending emails to keep me updated of the progress along with pictures of what my PS3 looked like and man was that thing dusty! Finally near the end they had done it: the only true way of fixing a PS3, a GPU "re-ball" and my PS3 had a heartbeat which I saw when I they sent a picture of my long forgotten XMB profile. I got it back in March '13 and wow did I miss that thing. They recommended a warm up period which I followed and it wasn't loud anymore. My PS3 used to sound like a jet engine, but after the procedure it was whisper quiet. I had lots of fun with it enjoying newer PS3 titles and my old PS2 and PS1 games as well. Until finally it has pooped out on me again as of yesterday. So the console lasted me for 9 months after the repair, but I know that they did their job right. Within those 9 months I used my console like crazy going on hour long gaming sessions and it never once went back up to that 2nd fan activation where it sounds crazy loud. I checked the unit several times after I was done using it to see how hot it had gotten and it was definately a lot cooler than when I had used it before the repair. And finally I know my negligence to take proper care of my PS3 had a lot to do with how far the damage had gone. I used it for 5 years in a little cupboard sized hole that was unventilated and thought nothing of it using it for the whole day. This is my fault more than anything and I plan on getting another original PS3 model and doing it right this time. I will definately go through the PS3Repairshop/R.S.O.L. PC Services for the reball and the EZ chill upgrade to truly get years of entertainment out of my unit.
