Boat Storage
I stored by boat outside at Attic away from home for approximately 1 year. When I inquired about security at the premises I was assured the area where my boat was being stored (outside) had camera survellience. I had a 30HP outboard engine bolted and cable locked to ...the transom of my boat. The engine was stolen off my boat while inside the perimeter of Attic Away from Home. When I inquired about the theft of my engine to a representative of Attic Away from home, I was told they knew nothing about the theft and there was nothing they could do. You store your property at your own risk. When I finally removed my boat from the property a car in front of me at the security gate opened the gate. Upon entry into the property I realized that I had forgotten the key to the lock on the trailer. I left went home and upon my return (20 minutes)the security gate was STILL OPEN. While I hooked up the boat and trailer (10 minutes) the gate remained open. Although a good price for outside storage, one needs to weigh the cost of how secure is the property and the potential for theft.
