O, perhaps you should have followed the law and served eviction papers properly. Maybe then all these people wouldnt have been out their cakes, you wouldn't have had the judgement in court go against you and the ugliness of this wouldnt have had to go so far.

Angie, It is also against the law to NOT Pay your rent for 8 months. Something had to be done and we did it.

This lady was locked out of her business by a landlord who took the law into his own hands. This was not her fault and she has won one decision against him in court for the limits that general sessions could award ($25,000) He couldn't stand that he lost so now he is... appealing it, thus putting her out of business. You just didn't get a cake she has lost her business, her reputation and I am sure a lot of money and hardwork that she has put into this business. Why don't youblame the landlord Bill Cox and Town Square Partners, it is very much against Tenn code to make a forceful eviction especially with no notice given not even a phone call. This bakery has given to every charity, every civic organization I have ever asked for and it was a lot. If not having a cake, that you could easily have replaced at Sam's (even though not as good ) ruined your childs party maybe you need to reevaluate your thinking and have some compassion for this person who has lost her life savings. Over a week before my son's first birthday party we placed an order for a custom cake. We signed a contract for delivery at 9:00 on Saturday morning, which you will notice is what time their website and this listing says they open. My wife, amidst the chaos of party pre...paration, drove the 10+ miles to pick up the cake, arrived at 9:10 and waited until 10:00. No one was there. We called the number and left a message, nothing. I found their home number and called, talked to the owner's husband twice. No response from anyone. We had a friend stop by from 10:45 until 11:15 to wait for them. No one showed up. Needless to say, we'd already paid for the cake. We called Miss Muffin and they had something ready. Miss Muffin and Muddies will get all of my business from now own. One star's too many. Stay away from The Cake and Catering Company. We contracted them to make a Buzz Lightyear cake for my son's 3 year birthday party - and we paid up front in full. We showed up today at noon to pick up the cake, and the place is closed. Nobody the...re, no sign to let us know what to do, where to go or call. Finally got Patricia Stamp's name (the owner) off the Better Business Bureau website and tracked down a phone number. No solution from her - just to call the landlord. No cake and no refund - not even an apology for ruining a child's birthday party. Completely unacceptable. Stay away - they're not delivering, and frankly they don't care. Read More
