Two hours late, one man less than contracted, threatened to take my entire apt full of belongings and drive away if I didn't come up with more money....damaged several pieces of furniture (less than a year old and I'm still paying it off yet its damaged), got text messa...ge from mover after move saying "he wanted to make it up to me" later because I had a bad experience with move and it was my birthday and he felt bad - isn't that a privacy law he broke?.....Overall a horrible experience and I am moving soon to relocate for work and I am completely dreading the experience because of this one! These guys are a scam. They will find a way to cheat you out of your "refundable" deposit, mark my words. Take a hint from my and all the other reviews regarding Tight Grip Moving (look up reviews for them on other websites as well). We hired TIght Grip Moving to move us into our new house. They damaged our brand-new hardwood floors and two pieces of furniture. Calvin Hunt, the owner, came to inspect the damages and agreed to pay for the floors and half the cost of repairing the top of a dresser scr...atched from front to back. When we requested payment after having the flooring company out to quote replacing the boards, Hunt told us it was beyond the 30-day window. However, his contract did not have a deadline. During the process, movers were late, slow and inexperienced. They did not admit they didn't know how to move a large armoire up the stairs and damaged our stair landing and scratched the piece of furniture. They also requested payment in cash for their services. We thought we'd give a new moving company a try and take advantage of a special price. Calvin Hunt seemed trustworthy so we hired Tight Grip Moving. The money we saved was not worth the headaches trying to get payment for the damages they caused. Read More

These guys are crooks. I initially called the unnamed owner of this company regarding the details of his $99 groupon. He suggested it is a better deal if we make the deal outside of groupon. He added all his extra fees and as an idiot I agreed. He subsequently charg...ed my credit card the full amount. All his team had to do was to move a one bedroom apt (with only 3 pc's of furniture) into a trailer being hitched to a Jeep. Although they packed everything in tightly, they said there was no room left and I was moving THAT DAY. I put a lot of nice stuff on Craig's list and some of it didn't sell, well over $1,000 worth of stuff. I gave it all to them, as I thought they were nice guys.
