The staff is extremely friendly and great with our girls. Our daughters love going to karate and love their instructors.

The owner talked down to myself and other parents... like she is better than us or something?? How can you try and teach respect to students if you yourself are disrespectful?

At first, signing up my children at USA Karate Academy sounded like I was making the right choice. Ask me 3 months after I signed my 1-year contract and I'll tell you my thoughts changed. Ms. Patty is a "get 'em in, get their money" business woman with, for lack of a be...tter phrase, little to no martial arts experience. She is too rough on the children, when she decides to even teach the classes. For the majority of the time, her 14 and 16 year old daughters teach the class. She has a "tough guy" attitude who think she is much too important to tend to the concerns of students' parents. DO NOT sign your child up at USA Karate Academy. It will be the biggest mistake you make. She advertises no testing fees, but tacks prices on in other places, forcing you to sign up for more expensive packages, or your child won't move through the ranks. Read More
