I have done business with Chris on several occasions, both when the client saw me first and when the client saw him first. (I'm a realtor, so we work alot with lenders.) Every time, he treats all customers, big and small, with the same care and respect. Over and over, the best mortgage man in town!

Great place for first time purchase.
Chris' loan product knowledge and attention to detail made my home purchase possible. I had been turned away by 2 other lenders that told me that I did not qualify. The Countrywide staff was courteous, understanding and made sure that I understood every step of the process.
I would recommend Chris McDonald and the Countrywide Auburn staff to anyone wanting to purchase or refinance property.

There are five economic reports worth watching this week that are likely to affect mortgage rates in addition to the minutes from the last FOMC meeting. The financial markets are closed tomorrow in observance of the President's Day Holiday and will reopen Tuesday morning. Tuesday's bond market has opened well into positive territory as last night's speech by President Obama and his bank bailout plan are being received favorably. The stock markets are not reacting as well to the news with the Dow down 295 points and the Nasdaq down 49 points. The bond market is currently up 28/32, which should improve this morning's mortgage rates by approximately .250 - .375 of a discount point. Countrywide Auburn Rate Advisory Thursday's bond market has opened in positive territory following the release of favorable economic reports. The stock markets are showing gains with the Dow up 44 points and the Nasdaq up 17 points.
