Firstclass AC and Appliance lives up to its name.

Firstclass AC and Appliance was a great experience to my house hold I had my parts shipped in a timely manner. I enjoyed friendly customer services and their experience in fixing my appliances was a Firstclass experience.

High pressure sales, low integrity service

I was forced to deal with this company through a Lowes extended warranty. I will NEVER use them again and advise extreme caution for anyone else. \t\n\t\nThe technician seemed nice at first but it wasn't long before he began pushing extra services that the warranty di...dn't cover. He wanted me to spend $80 on a vent cleaning. I declined, and after 40 minutes he said he'd have to order a controller board and heater for the dryer (a $150+ charge for the parts to the warranty company). A different technician came to install the parts, which did not fix the problem. They dryer still did not heat. He messed with it for about twenty minutes, excused himself to make a call, and then came back toeing the party line about a vent cleaning. To be honest, he seemed almost embarrassed by it, but I let him leave without further comment. A few hours later I was thinking about it and decided to test the blocked dryer vent theory. I put 10' of brand new dryer ducting - which I happened to have in a box from the original installation - on the back of the machine and it still did not heat, which meant it could not be a clogged vent. I then called them to come back and they refused saying I would have to either pay for the vent cleaning, or I would have to pay a $70 for a visit. I told them I would pay for neither because they didn't fix the dryer, and she actually had the cashews to tell me that putting dryer duct on the back of my dryer - you know, the stuff that take the hot air outside - voided my warranty! \t\n\t\nThat was the end of it for me. I called the warranty company and had them send out a different company for a second opinion. The new technician found the faulty thermostat (a $6 part) in three minutes flat, and that includes the time it took him to get the dryer down and the top off it.\t\n\t\nIt is clear to me that they use these warranty calls as a springboard to pressure you into services you don't need, and when caught, they do NOT handle it gracefully. If I hadn't had the dryer ducting on hand, I might have paid the $80 for something I didn't need before finding out it still did not fix the dryer.
