They cheated me & will probably cheat you too...
I am 82 & on a fixed income. My transmission failed, so I called around comparing prices for a full rebuild including a new torque converter. These guys were the cheapest, so I gave them the job. What a mistake that was. I was charged for a full rebuild (all soft parts ...and bushings/bearings with shift solenoids) and a rebuilt torque converter, and all I received for my money was a new pump & pan gasket. I found this out when my transmission started to leak & I took it to another shop. It was the shift solenoid cover gasket that failed. A piece that is replaced in a full rebuild...a full rebuild that I didn't get. The next thing to fail was the shift solenoids. Again, I avoided Bob. Good thing I did too. The shop I took it in to showed me the old solenoid pack with the original manufacturing date of 13 years ago! I called Bob & he told me that sometimes a part will sit on a shelf for a while before being sold. After 10 months, the trans failed again. I took it to the same shop (Not Bob's), because they were honest. After they disassembled it they told me that the only new pieces were the cheap Chinese pump, the solenoid pack(which I paid the second shop the replace) & maybe the pan gasket. Oh...it was the pump that failed...again. OEM one lasted 13+ years, the one that Bob put in lasted 10 months & about 7,000 miles. I would have taken Bob to court, but my only income is from Social Security. I hope no one else goes through what I did.
Thanks
