Annoyed reader from Schuylkill County

I never ate at Amigos, but many of my friends and colleagues have and they enjoyed everything. I will visit and eat at Amigos so I can judge for myself. Now, for the narrow minded ignorant person who insulted the folks of Schuylkill County. How dare you use this as a... means to insult people of Schuylkill County? You know absolutely NOTHING about us and most likely you never will because you're much to ignorant and naive to even begin to comprehend what people in this county are about. Some day someone from Schuylkill County may come to your aid and you will realize just how wonderful the people of Schuylkill County are and they're not the "hicks" you think we are!! Oh and Tommys' M & S does not make the best chilli, my Dad does!

Mexican Food

First this place is a clone of a sports bar trying to imitate a Mexican restaurant. As a hispanic whom knows what the real mexican should be and taste like I would say that it passes as an average imitation mexican restaurant. Margaritas are not made right. Second you do not use american cheese on the food. Wife and I were dissapointed.

Best Mexican in the area

I don't know, is there another Mexican place? Either way, it's good food. Sorry to the snob before me who is used to 'refined food'. I've eaten at the finest restaurants (of course on my employer's bill) all over the country and I think this place is great. It's not 5-star, but they don't bill themselves as such.

Good for hicks.

The place is great if you're from Schuylkill County and have no idea as to what a real Mexican restaurant is. If you're a bit more refined, then this place falls short of the expected mark. But then again, people from around here think that Tommy's MS Lunch makes the best Chili in the world...ughz!

Ehhhh....

Not a REAL Mexican restaurant, and should never be billed as one. When I walk into a Mexican restaurant, the staff should not be white and speak perfect English.

Food is OK, nothing special. I've had better, I've had worse. The atmosphere is decent, and has live entertainment on weekends. The prices are decent as well.

Cinco de Mayo did not disappoint

Two bands rocked the packed house, and local celebrity, Charlie Maurer, was in authentic garb, and treated by buddy Fitzgerald and I with warm hospitality. Pict. can be seen at thegreatungnome.wordpress.com - Cheap Coronas, tasty Carnitas, warm chips and zippy salsa made the night great.
