Also if you tow heavy loads without any brake controllers the brakes can give way and lead the driver lose control of the vehicle. the brake controllers must also be correctly installed because if not they can affect the cars braking system and cause wires to be cut. Always make sure to get the correct towing equipment and accessories before towing.

Damages can include minor cosmetic blemishes from a tie-down chain/ strap making contact with the towed vehicle. If a chain or strap is placed improperly (on a bumper cover, etc.), significant cosmetic damages will result.
Transmission destruction or a vehicle fire can result from improper transport method. Electronic sensing devices (for ABS, traction control, etc.) can also be adversely affected by towing a vehicle using a method other than that which is recommended by the manufacturer.
Since each vehicle is different, the best way to prevent damage is to hire an experienced, certified Tow Opeartor to provide you advice or handle the job for you.
Hope this helps.
