Simple army items bought at the army surplus or costume store make an easy costume. By pairing a few extra items, or taking some off, you can adapt to some fun alternative costumes from apocalyptic video game vixens to army medics. Just use a little creativity and have fun.

Traditional Fatigues

Men, women and children can get the simple army costume look covered with a plain set of fatigues in their size. Buy them at the costume store or be more authentic and shop at the army surplus store.

Rambo

The main items needed for this costume are worn fatigue pants, combat boots and of course, the fake machine-gun and shells. If you have the body and the right weather, go shirtless for the full effect. Otherwise pair it with a fitted, torn t-shirt or a fake muscle top for a humorous effect.

Apocalyptic Tough Chic

Get inspired by Alice from Resident Evil's hot look. Fitted and torn fatigue pants topped with a mesh top over a tight tank. Strap on multiple holsters and guns, distress your hair and you will look like your ready to fight some undead bad guys.

SWAT

Top the fatigues and combat boots with a SWAT vest. Carry heavy artillery and cover your face with a helmet and gas mask. Look like you are about to bust through some doors and dominate.

Pair the fatigues with a Red Cross emblem and armband. Carry a Red Cross medical bag and even a small, portable stretcher for the full effect.
