• Have at least 12 good-sized towels available before you start the job.

• Hand washing the car is preferred over taking the car to an automatic car wash. If for some reason you are unable to wash the car by hand, you should take it to a type of car wash that offers touchless washes because these are less likely to damage the paint on your car.


• Always wash the rims on the car before washing the body.


• When washing the car always start from the top of the car and work your way down.


• Always wash and detail your car in a shady area. 


• Wash and detail the outside of your car first before moving to the inside.


• Remove everything from the car that is removable before vacuuming.


• Spray some window cleaner on a towel to clean the headliner of the car.


• Apply a leather preserver to the leather in the car and allow it to soak in before removing with a clean towel.


• Never spray window cleaner directly on the window of a car, but instead spray it on a towel and then use the towel to clean the windows.
