Bespoke VS Made to Measure Suits

There are a number of ways to purchase a men's suit. As with all things, there are various preferences for people. However, it is important to realize the difference between the many types of suits to make a decision regarding which one is best.

Two of the more common ways to buy suits are to purchase bespoke suits and to order made to measure suits. There are strong adherents to either of these models, but comparing the different ways suits can be made will reveal some major variations between the two.

• Price. Bespoke suits are much more expensive than made to measure models. The bespoke market is designed to appeal to wealthy clients who are not concerned with how much they spend. They are the favored market for celebrities, CEOs and others. Made to measure models, on the other hand, are less expensive, appealing to a wider customer base. The cost can be the difference between a few hundred dollars and a few thousand.


• Fashion. Both suits offer current fashions in their suits, but bespoke suits are more luxurious because of the market they cater. If the goal is to have a nice-looking suit, either will work fine. When looking for something more exclusive, go with a bespoke model.


• Shopping experience. There are a number of different locations where it is possible to purchase a made to measure suit. Most men's retailers will offer them in stock. However, the availability of bespoke suits is also more exclusive.
